STRENGTH AND CONDITIONING COACH
RPG Training Systems is seeking an Assistant Coach for Strength & Conditioning. RPG offers Strength and Conditioning to teams, groups and individuals in our St. Thomas Location (Chains Disc Golf and Wellness). Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
developing and implementing a strength & conditioning programs for athletic teams
provide instruction to teams, groups and individuals
assist with and conduct periodic performance and strength testing
assist in the maintenance and upkeep of the facility
booking and tracking client appointments
updating client programs in a timely manner
collaborate with performance team, including but-not-limited-to sports medicine, nutrition, online coaching, sport coach (if applicable) and head coach
other duties assigned by the head strength and conditioning coach
Requirements
The candidate must have bachelor’s degree in a related field and experience working with youth athletes, individuals and coaches.
knowledge and experience with coaching; Olympic Lifting, strength training, speed and agility, core/postural corrections, movement screening, fitness testing and performance testing
a strong desire to pursue a career in the field of human performance

strong computer skills especially in excel, docs, online training platform
Minimum requirements include a current NSCA CSCS, CFP PST or other professional certification, and a current CPR, First Aid and AED certification.
Candidate must provide sufficient insurance coverage through certification or other forms of professional liability (TBD)
Special Requirements: Qualified applicants must have the availability to work evenings and weekends, possess a valid driver's license and insurable driving record.
Base Salary:
Competitive hourly rate, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Performance Bonuses:
Additional bonuses based on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as client retention, client satisfaction, and meeting training session targets.

Potential for increased rates for specialized group classes or workshops.

DESCRIPTION
The NEXT-GEN Sport Camp Coach is responsible for delivering a high-quality, safe, and engaging training experience for athletes participating in seasonal sport camps. This role focuses on skill development, athletic performance training, mentorship, and creating a positive competitive environment that supports athlete growth and confidence.
Coaches will lead drills, assist with strength and speed training stations, supervise athletes, and contribute to overall camp organization and energy.
ROLES & GOALS
Coaching & Athlete Development
Lead sport-specific skill drills and small group instruction
Assist with speed, agility, and strength training activities
Provide clear coaching cues, encouragement, and feedback
Promote proper technique, effort, and sportsmanship
Support athletes of varying skill levels
Camp Operations & Safety
Supervise athletes during sessions, transitions, and breaks
Help set up and tear down equipment and training stations
Follow all safety protocols and emergency procedures
Maintain an organized and professional training environment
Team Collaboration
Work closely with lead coaches and camp directors
Assist with attendance tracking and session flow
Contribute to a positive and energetic camp culture
REQUIREMENTS
Required Qualifications
Previous playing or coaching experience in the sport
Ability to communicate effectively with youth and teenagers
Strong leadership and organizational skills
Reliable, punctual, and professional
Preferred Qualifications
Background in strength & conditioning or athlete development
First Aid / CPR Certification
Experience working at sport camps or youth programs
Post-secondary education in kinesiology, physical education, coaching, or related field
COMPENSATION
Hourly Pay Range: $18 – $30 per hour (based on experience and role responsibility)
Lead coaches may receive higher rates
Opportunities for performance bonuses or return-season incentives
Hours range throughout the spring/summer season. (Camps run Mon-Friday 12-4 pm, or 8-Week programs run 4:30-6:30 pm - 2 days per week)
Pay Schedule
Coaches are paid bi-weekly via direct deposit
Time is tracked through scheduled session blocks
Payment includes coaching time plus approved setup / teardown responsibilities
